Short-term Cultural Exchange

Greenheart Exchange offers a wide variety of Short-term ESL and American culture programs for participants traveling to the U.S. on tourist (B-2) visas.

  • Group Homestay Program is customized to fit your needs and typically include English language and American culture classes, as well as excursions, activities and parties. Participants must be between the ages of 13-17. We organize 2-3 week Group Homestay programs all around the United States. See this sample calendar for a standard 2-week program. Medical and accident insurance is included.
  • Individual Homestay Program is for participants seeking an authentic cultural exchange experience while improving their English and experiencing first-hand life in the United States. Participants must be at least 16 years old and can stay between 2-8 weeks. Medical and accident insurance is available for purchase upon request.
  • Greenheart English Camp (GEC) is a multinational, 3-week ESL and leadership summer camp located in northern California. Designed for international teens ages 13-18 and led by native English speakers, GEC offers accommodation in a beautiful boarding school along with activities and excursions that bring English and leadership to life. Medical and accident insurance are included.

Q: Does Greenheart Exchange offer short-term teen Group Homestay programs year-round?

A: Yes. Greenheart Exchange can organize a short-term teen group homestay program any time of the year. However, we very rarely organize group homestay programs over Christmas and New Year.

Q: Can I choose the location of the Group Homestay program?

A: Yes. Our partners are able to choose a region for the program and we will do our best to accommodate the request. With enough advanced notice (i.e. typically 4-5 months) we are more likely to be able to accommodate very specific geographical requests. Our most popular destinations include:

New England Region: Connecticut, Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Rhode Island, Vermont
Pacific NW Region: Washington and Oregon
Southwest Region: Arizona, New Mexico, Utah, Nevada
Frontier Region: Colorado, Wyoming, Montana
