About the Career Advancement Program

CAP offers international university students, recent graduates and young professionals the opportunity to become an Intern or Trainee with a U.S. business. These structured and guided work-based learning programs must be in the intern’s or trainee’s specific academic or occupational field. CCI is designated by the U.S. Department of State to sponsor the J-1 Exchange Visitor Program in the following categories:

  • Hospitality and Tourism
  • Public Law and Administration (Trainees only)
  • Business, Management, Finance and Commerce
  • Sciences, Engineering, Architecture, Mathematics, and Industrial (Trainees only)
  • Arts and Culture
  • Agriculture, Forestry, and Fishing (Trainees only)

How Does It Work?

Our staff is committed to making the application process as streamlined as possible for your students. We work directly with the students using an intuitive online application system, and our personable staff will guide the participant through every step of the process, even helping them create quality training plans (DS-7002).
