Program Associate – Career Advancement Program

Within CCI Greenheart, the Career Advancement Program (CAP) Department has J-1 Internship and Trainee designations through the U.S. Department of State to bring international professionals to the United States on a cultural exchange program that allows them intern or train with a U.S. business. CCI Greenheart’s CAP program is dedicated to extending the mission of cultural understanding, environmental consciousness and world peace by connecting enthusiastic international professionals and American Host Organizations. As the only non-profit green J-1 visa sponsor, we pride ourselves on providing a quality experience, while encouraging and enabling CCI Greenheart staff, participants and Host Organizations to work together on projects that promote environmentalism and sustainability.The CAP Program Associate will assist the department with main responsibilities including but will not be limited to:

  • Fielding general program inquiries
  • Conducting participant interviews
  • Participant application review
  • Program evaluation processing
  • Coordinating vetting visits to participants’ host organizations
  • Position will also include general office duties such as filing, processing courier shipments, and heavy assistance with answering phones.

Responsibilities:
Responsibilities may include, but not limited to:

  • Support daily program operations through administrative oversight
  • Provide in-country program support
  • Screen potential host companies for compliance and suitability
  • Manage the SEVIS database
  • Handle communication with partners and host companies, including partner training
  • Manage other on-going administrative duties as assigned

Web Content Manager

Responsibilities:
Website Management

  • Manage the day-to-day operations of the Greenheart websites, while further developing and expanding their functionality
  • Manage and update content on the public-facing websites
  • Keep up-to-date on CMS features
  • Liaise with outside developer to work on CMS-specific updates or issues
  • Act as the main point of contact for WordPress CMS
  • Edit, create and organize web assets such as photos, icons and call to action buttons
  • Collaborate with marketing team and program managers to develop new pages and content based on program needs
  • Coordinate and facilitate as needed trainings on CMS functions for the Greenheart International Staff
  • Utilize Google Analytics and Google Webmaster Tools to track site performance and to improve quality and efficiency of the websites
  • Work with IT on domain registrations for websites and update IT about marketing technology apps/software
  • Adhere to website style guide and protocol for all branches

Design/Development

  • Oversee the design of the websites, making sure that a consistent look and feel is maintained
  • Work with outside developer to monitor and test website performance and troubleshoot and modify problematic code
  • Lead and manage web development and design projects
  • Create optimized landing pages

Project Management

  • Write project proposals and contracts for web design and development work as needed
  • Work in collaboration with departments and staff to develop pages
  • Serve as project manager on various web initiatives and multi-departmental projects
  • Manage oversight of new web design or development

Content Strategy

  • Develop strategies to personalize and customize the user experience based on audience segments and interests, and develop pathways to increase engagement with the Greenheart websites in multiple ways
  • Assist marketing team in coordinating and executing all activities related to the Greenheart websites
  • Act in a consulting role with other departments to help them develop strategies and initiatives to achieve their goals online
  • Maintain content audits and changes to websites
  • Review and edit content ass needed on-page SEO, and assist in developing SEO strategies that meet business goals
  • Review and publish content created by program staff and make recommendations

Social Media Strategy

  • Oversee social media editorial calendar and coordinate social media strategy across the organization
  • Generate and maintain social media analytics reports to track and measure social media presence and campaigns
  • Assist the Marketing Director in creating and coordinating social media strategy for Greenheart International as needed
  • Adhere to social media policy/procedures for all branches

Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • Directs the work of contract developer and designer

Qualifications:

  • 3-5 years of experience in digital marketing, web design, and web content management
  • Strong understanding of SEO strategies and day-to-day management; should be able to provide recommendations on how to improve and optimize
  • Experience with WordPress CMS and ability to use website management tools like Google Analytics
  • Demonstrate ability to work cross-functionally and interact with variety of stakeholders
  • Knowledge of and practice with HTML, CSS and JavaScript
  • Intermediate to expert experience with Adobe Creative Suite
  • Solid understanding of current web technologies, digital marketing and trends

Regional Manager Position – J-1 High School Program

Type of Position: Part-time salary employee
Hours: 20+ hours/week
Location: Work from home
CCI Greenheart is seeking individuals with previous work experience as a, Area Coordinator, Regional Manager/Director or similar level within a cultural exchange organization. Applicants without prior experience in the industry will not be considered. (If that is the case, please consider CCI Greenheart’s independent contractor Local Coordinator position.) CCI Greenheart has J-1 visa designation by the U.S. Department of State to bring international high school students to the United States through our High School Programs, to live with volunteer host families. The Regional Manager position is a crucial leadership position within the High School Programs department, by supervising a team of 10-20 Local Coordinators, and 25-50+ exchange students every year.Responsibilities include, but not limited to:

  • Build and supervise a team of Local Coordinators (independent contractors) to facilitate the placing of exchange students with volunteer host families, who will attend high school for a semester or full academic year.
  • Lead the regional team of field staff to ensure timely placement of all students assigned to the region, and that the proper documentation for the placement has been supplied through CCI Greenheart’s database.
  • Create a development plan for the region, which includes a regional training meeting for LCs.
  • Maintain compliance with Department of State regulations by providing the necessary documentation via the database for all students placed in the region (proper host families, host family information forms and school permission forms, contact logs, etc)
  • Work closely with the staff in the Chicago office through regular email, phone, and skype communication.

Skills:

  • Must have previous experience working with a cultural exchange organization (J-1 international high school students)
  • Ability to lead and guide a dispersed team
  • Self-motivated, creative and organized
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills

ESL Student Recruiter – Greenheart English Camp

Greenheart English Camp is a three week ESL summer camp designed exclusively for international teenagers with at least 2 years of English experience. Volunteer Marketing and Outreach Intern
