CCI’s Career Advancement Program provides U.S. businesses with the opportunity to have an international university student, recent graduate or a seasoned professional with them for up to 18 months.American businesses can benefit from international interns or trainees.

It's free. There is no cost for a U.S. business to hire an international Intern or Trainee, just a willingness to provide a structured training experience as the participant helps you achieve your business goals.

It’s personal. CCI will help your company create a DS-7002 Training Plan that fits your company’s needs. CCI Intern/Trainees have flexible start and end dates.

Can My Industry Host Interns or Trainees?

CCI is designated by the U.S. Department of State to receive interns/trainees in the following occupational fields:

  • Business/Management/Commerce/Finance
  • Hospitality/Tourism (including culinary arts)
  • Arts and Culture
  • Information Media and Communications

CCI offers two program options to fit your needs:
Full Program (FP) Option: Set your hiring criteria and let us do the work for you. CCI screens participants and arranges interviews with the Host Organization.
Self Placed (SP) Program: The Host Organization selects the participants themselves. CCI verifies program eligibility and approves of training plan prior to program sponsorship.

How Do I Host Interns and Trainees?

If you are interested in hosting an Intern or Trainee at your business, please complete the Host Organization Inquiry Form and a Career Advancement Program team member will contact you to discuss the process and your company’s needs.

CCI screens all potential trainees for English language ability, education, and occupational experience, making sure they are qualified for training with your organization before organizing an interview with you.
