Greenheart Environmental Group Program

CCI’s Greenheart Environmental Group Program brings young adults together from countries around the world to learn about critical issues affecting our environment and to work voluntarily with a local conservation project. Participants on this two or three week program come away with improved English skills, a deeper understanding of the impact of human beings on the environment, and the sense of accomplishment that comes from directly contributing to the effort to protect our precious natural resources and our planet.. The Greenheart Environmental Program can be arranged in various locations, depending on time of year requested.
Program includes:
- Hands-on experience volunteering with a local conservation project
- Guided discussions on environmental issues (ESL classes can also be included)
- Fun and exciting cultural and recreational activities
- Accommodation and full board with an American host family
- Medical and accident insurance
- Airport transfers
- Full support of a CCI Area Representative
- Support letter for tourist visa
Requirements:
- Be between the ages of 13 and 25
- Possess an intermediate level of English (two years of college study or equivalent)
- Display a genuine interest in American culture and the environment
- Be willing to participate as a member of an American host family
- Be physically capable of hiking a few miles each day
- Agree to accept the host family assigned to them by CCI
- Sign and abide by the Conditions of Participation on the application form
