What
are the Qualifications and Responsibilities of a CCI
Area Representative?
CCI Area Representatives come from all walks of life.
Many are teachers, nurses, retirees or at-home moms
- and others are bankers, lawyers, doctors….you
name it! What ARs have in common is a love for working
with people of different cultures and backgrounds
and a desire to work flexible, part-time hours from
home as independent contractors. Area Representative
responsibilities generally include:
- Identifying schools open to international exchange
students.
- Recruiting American families and outbound students
interested in international exchange.
- Matching host families with international students.
- Providing orientations and group outings for international
students and host families.
- Acting as a support person and counselor for families
and international students.

Do CCI
Area Representatives Receive Training?
Yes! CCI Regional Directors and Regional Managers
train and provide on-going support to new and experienced
Area Representatives. CCI has a wide variety of materials
and training tools available to you to help you get
started.
In addition, many Area Representatives qualify to
attend CCI's Annual Conference,
which provides additional training and networking
opportunities to Area Representatives in a new, exciting
destination each year!

What Compensation
Do Area Representatives Receive?
In addition to the rewards attached to helping build
international friendships, CCI Area Representatives
receive a stipend for each student placed/supervised
or recruited to travel abroad. Stipends are paid on
an independent contractor basis and vary based on
the length of stay and type of program.
