SENIOR SALES LEADER
For the Work Programs Department
Are you looking for a job where you sell a service that you believe in? We are an ever-expanding non-profit student exchange organization seeking an individual to recruit high-profile businesses that agree to hire CCI Work Program. CCI is designated by the Department of State to sponsor visas of University students from abroad to come to the USA and work in short-term, entry level positions. Jobs tend to be in the Hospitality & Tourism industry where the Senior Sales Leader is expected to secure quality and quantity property accounts that reflect a variety of industries across the country and meet CCI expectations.
Duties:
- To recruit quality businesses that agree to hiring international students coming to the U.S. on a J-1 visa, via email, cold-calling and site visits. These students would be working in short term, unskilled positions.
- To ensure these jobs reflect variety and meet CCI expectations.
- Generate new lists of viable Work Programs employer leads, and provide them to the appropriate staff member, maintain follow up with staff/employers as needed for employer retention.
- Effectively communicate with remote supervision.
- Maintain positive attitude and diligent online/phone presence with a large number of national contacts.
- Available to travel and work overtime, as needed. Travel schedule will vary from light to heavy, throughout the year.
Qualifications:
- A minimum of 3 years experience in sales, with a proven sales track record
- Supportive of CCI's programs' mission and should be convinced of the many benefits that U.S. businesses experience through hiring international students for short-term positions
- Outgoing and approachable, have a bachelor’s degree and sales and/or marketing experience
- Professional and comfortable phone presence, ability to work under pressure and creative diligence are must-have qualities for this position
- Working knowledge of social media outlets, such as Linked-in, Facebook and Twitter preferred
- Applicant should be a creative self starter, possess great work ethic and excellent written, oral and interpersonal skills
- Ability to maintain close attention to detail and have innate organizational skills is essential
- Ability to interact within groups of all ages, ethnicities and backgrounds
- Ability to speak a second language, have experience living abroad and/or experience in the work programs exchange industry is a plus
- Applicant should have a willingness to travel

PAYROLL/ACCOUNTS PAYABLE MANAGER
Type of Position: Full-time
Start Date: ASAP
Location: CCI National Office, Chicago, IL with initial training in St. Charles, IL, for at least 4 - 6 weeks with follow-up as needed.
Duties:
- Payroll-HR
- Process payroll
- Change CCI to a biweekly payroll
- Maintain employee files
- Review and verify employee/dependant applications for:
- Health Insurance
- Hospitalization
- Dental Coverage
- Vision Coverage
- Disability Coverage
- SIMPLE IRA
- RTA/CTA Benefit
- Review new hire, Federal Withholding, I-9, State Withholding, State Disability, and State Unemployment forms as needed
- Register with the state when CCI hires an employee in a new state
- Comply with New Hire reporting requirements within the state hired
- Assist staff with processing claims for disability and health, eye or dental insurance, as needed
- Manage RTA/CTA Benefit program, assist staff with RTA/CTA program issues
- Track Employee time off / accrual for absentee wages
- Administer COBRA
- Send out exit questionnaires to departing staff
- Conduct annual workers compensation insurance audits with the various insurance companies
- File first report and assist employees with any workers compensation claims
- Calculate all Fed and State employment taxes; file all necessary reports and forms
- Assist with all financial audits
- Assist with Accounts Payable functions
- Work at various CCI Chicago area locations as necessary
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Experience in processing payroll
- Self starter
- Able to work independently with minimum supervision
- Confidentiality is a must!
Salary: Commensurate with experience.

GREENHEART TRAVEL CONSULTANTS

Greenheart Travel is a Chicago-based non profit organization looking for enthusiastic travelers in the Chicago area to spread the word about our cultural exchange programs. Greenheart Travel Consultants earn stipends for each participant they refer to us that travels on our programs, plus a free Greenheart Travel program after referring 4 participants!
Who are Greenheart Travel Consultants?
Greenheart Travel Consultants are people who love international travel and want to help others experience its joys and benefits. They are outgoing, social and resourceful individuals who are well connected in their communities or on their campuses. Ideal for college students and recent grads who want a way to earn extra money and travel opportunities during their free time. WORK AND TRAVEL CONSULTANTS
Type of Position: Contract position (not full-time employment)
Start Date: ASAP
Location: Throughout the U.S.
CCI is seeking individuals to assist in recruiting area businesses interested in hiring international student employees during their busy season. This is a contract position, not an opportunity for full time employment.
Who are the American businesses CCI is interested in working with?
CCI employers are typically in the hospitality/tourism industry (amusement parks, hotels, motels, fast food restaurants and even convenient shops in tourist areas). Other employers simply have a temporary need for entry-level help, such as a construction company or fishing boat. Employers offer at least 35 hours/week and if they don’t have housing, they help identify solid housing leads to the participant.
Who is a CCI Work and Travel Consultant?
Ideal candidates are organized, internet savvy, sales-oriented, resourceful, active members of their communities that are interested in international cultural exchange. This is a great way to make money while helping participants of a cultural exchange program to the USA, without much of a time burden.
Compensation: Independent contracting position. Compensation is based on the hourly wage of the position recruited. Compensation ranges from $5-20/placement. Note that many employers hire 50+ students in one season.

Department Description: Greenheart, a division of the Center for Cultural Interchange (CCI), is CCI's environmental and social initiative that connects people and planet through environmentalism, fair trade, social transformation, and cross cultural understanding. Greenheart Travel offers work, teach, volunteer, internship, language study, and independent homestay programs for teens and adults in over 20 countries. Greenheart’s concern for the welfare of the planet drives our passion for helping responsible travelers satisfy their thirst for adventure while respecting the environment and unique cultural heritage of the destinations they explore.
Responsibilities:
- Assist management staff with day to day program operations

Heavy focus on phones, data entry and work on special projects as needed, including assisting with sales and recruitment
Skills:
Open to current students and recent grads
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Background in sales/marketing and office support, experience with and enthusiasm for international travel, a plus!
Initiative, creativity, flexibility and desire to contribute to an organization that promotes cultural exchange and environmental consciousness

INTERNSHIP OPPORTUNITY IN TURKEY

One of CCI's Work and Travel Program Turkish sending partners, ICEP Foundation, now offers internship opportunities throughout the year at its offices in Turkey (Istanbul, Ankara, Izmir, Eskisehir, Bursa). At present, ICEP has opportunities for students and graduates studying different subjects, such as Marketing, Business, Computer Science and Mathematics. Placement opportunities are in the Marketing, IT, Sales and Operations Divisions. The positions are not paid but ICEP provides lunch, help with accommodation and scholarship of YTL 250/month (approximately USD200/month) from ICEP Foundation.
