Group Homestay Program

US_Groups_homestay1.jpgShort-term Group Homestay programs are an ideal way for international exchange students ages 13 to 17 to improve their English skills and discover American culture. These programs normally include: English language and American culture classes, excursions, occasional activities and parties. (Programs can also be arranged without ESL classes.) Programs of one to several weeks may be arranged at any time of the year with CCI. Normal group sizes are 10 - 15 students plus one group leader. Other program options include: 

Program includes: 

  • Room and board with volunteer American host family
  • 12 hours of English language and American culture weekly
  • 2 half day activities weekly - sports and culturally oriented
  • One Greenheart volunteer activity
  • One full day excursion weekly, including entrance fees
  • Welcome and farewell parties
  • Airport transfer to/ from nearest airport*
  • Accident and medical insurance
  • Services of a local coordinator
  • Invitation letter for the tourist visa (if required)  

* One group airport transfer is included in the program price; additional airport transfers can be arranged for an additional cost.

  • Be between 13 and 17
  • Possess intermediate English skills (minimum two years’ English study)
  • Display a genuine interest in English language and American culture
  • Be willing to adapt to the life of the American host family
  • Agree to accept the family assigned to them by CCI
  • Sign and abide by the CCI Conditions of Participation on the application form
