Language Exchange Homestay

Parlez-vous francais? Parli italiano? Kun-pood-pa-sa-thai-dai-mai? Learning a foreign language is essential in today’s world. But learning a language is more than studying from a text book or listening to CDs: it’s about immersing yourself in that language and experiencing true cultural exchange.

Greenheart Travel’s Language Exchange Homestay program offers exactly that: full immersion with a host family in France, Belgium, Italy or Thailand in exchange for a few hours of English lessons per week. You’ll get to explore a country vastly different from your own while keeping your travel costs to a minimum.

Program Details

Spend approximately 15 hours per week conversing with members of the host family to improve their fluency in English. In some cases, you may also be asked to help a family member with their homework. The rest of the time is yours to taste some of France’s world class wine, experience the charming quirkiness of Belgium, feast on Italy’s delectable cuisine or take a hike through the mist covered mountains of Thailand. Don’t just study a new language, become a part of it!

Requirements

• At least 18 years old - retirees welcome!
• Speak fluent English, German or Spanish (other languages depend on specific demand)
• Must hold a Bachelor’s degree or be in the process of getting one
• Relevant experience is a bonus
• Be a citizen of the EU, USA, New Zealand, Australia, or Canada
