Language Exchange Homestay in Italy

The Language Exchange Homestay (LEH) program offers the opportunity for participants to become a conversation friend in a local family while sharing their everyday life.
Participants spend approximately 15 hours per week conversing with members of the host family to improve their fluency in English. The rest of the time is yours to immerse yourself in Italian language, culture and lifestyle. Italy is home to much of the world’s greatest art, best food and happiest people who are eager to share their culture while learning about yours. Fabulous pasta, crusty bread, snowy peaks, sunny beaches, Roman ruins and the best of 12th century design – Italy offers a sensational language exchange opportunity.
Where Will You Stay?
Homestay placements are located throughout the country, including Sicily, so it is very important to be flexible about your placement location. Most host family placements are in medium to small cities with larger cities easily accessible via public transportation. As a language exchange homestay participant, you will be warmly welcomed into a host family's home, while having the opportunity to explore the area on your own.

Requirements:
- At least 18 years old - retirees welcome!
- Speak fluent English, German or Spanish (other languages depend on specific demand)
- Must hold a Bachelor’s degree or be in the process of getting one
- Relevant experience is a bonus
- Be a citizen of the EU, USA, New Zealand, Australia, South Africa or Canada
