Language Exchange Homestay in Belgium
The Language Exchange Homestay (LEH) program offers the opportunity for participants to become a conversation friend in a local family while sharing their everyday life.
Participants spend approximately 15 hours per week conversing with members of the host family to improve their fluency in English. The rest of the time is yours to taste some of Belgium’s famous chocolate and waffles and immerse yourself in Belgian language, culture and lifestyle. Belgians are known for being humble and welcoming, with a great sense of humor. Belgium is the scene of a very rich cultural past (painting, architecture) and thrilling present day artistic creativity (exhibitions, music, fashion, comic books, theater. Where Will You Stay?
Homestay placements are located throughout the country so it is very important to be flexible about your placement location. Most host family placements are in medium to small cities with larger cities easily accessible via public transportation. As a language exchange homestay participant, you will be warmly welcomed into a host family's home, while having the opportunity to explore the area on your own.

Requirements:
- At least 18 years old - retirees welcome!
- Speak fluent English, German or Spanish (other languages depend on specific demand)
- Must hold a Bachelor’s degree or be in the process of getting one
- Relevant experience is a bonus
- Be a citizen of the EU, USA, New Zealand, Australia, South Africa or Canada
