Greenheart Travel Club  

For High School Abroad Participants

The Greenheart Travel Club challenges you to a deeper level of immersion through volunteerism. By volunteering you have a unique way to give back and learn from the new community in which you are living. The Greenheart Travel Club is a resource to find volunteer opportunities while abroad, connects you to a global volunteer community and rewards you for your efforts. You can be a part of the Greenheart Travel Club by volunteering for an environmental or social organization. Acceptable projects include volunteering with protected wildlife areas, orphanages, homeless shelters, non-profit organizations or anything else you can think of that helps people or planet.

How it works

Join the Greenheart Travel Club through your CCI/Greenheart Travel online account. Volunteer, make a difference and have fun. If you need help getting connected with a volunteer opportunity email us at greenheart@greenhearttravel.org. Once you have volunteered, log your hours in your online account to be recognized.

Rewarding your work

All Club members receive a certificate listing the number of hours they volunteered while abroad. In addition, when you log volunteer hours you can earn any of the following:

• 5 hours: A Global Greenheart Club Certificate and Letter of Recommendation 
• 15 hours: A feature on the Greenheart Website and Blog 
• 30 hours: $125 Grant to do a Greenheart project in your home country* 
• 75 hours: $250 Grant to do a Greenheart project in your home country* 

*We will contact you if you are eligible so you can also submit a grant application

Volunteer hours and grant applications are due May 15 (January 1 for fall semester students).
