CCI's Going Greenheart Tour

2012 dates to be announced. If you are interested in hosting a tour event at your workplace fill out the interest inquiry form.

WHO: CCI’s Going Greenheart Tour brings together J-1 Work and Travel participants with their employers and CCI staff to make a positive impact in the communities where the participants are working.

WHAT: CCI’s Going Greenheart Tour engages employers and participants of CCI’s Work and Travel program in environmental volunteerism. CCI combines national office visits to our J-1 Work and Travel participants with an environmental volunteer action. Through CCI’s Going Greenheart Tour we clean beaches, build houses for those in need, work on reforestation projects, and volunteer at recycling centers.

WHEN: During our winter, spring, and summer CCI will be bringing Greenheart to our employers across the country.

WHERE: In cities and towns across the U.S. where CCI’s J-1 Work and Travel students are employed.

WHY: To show CCI’s commitment to being the Greenheart of Cultural Exchange by enriching the exchange experience through meaningful environmental volunteer projects. These projects not only better our world but develop deeper connections for the J-1 workers with their employers and host communities.

Testimonials from CCI Staff who Participated in CCI's Going Greenheart Tour

    AdraCGGT

Adra: During our GH activity in Utah I had an "Aha!/lightbulb" moment in realizing how much I love my job here at CCI and how much I love the work that we do with our students. Not many people have the opportunity to connect on such positive projects with people from all over the globe. In our presentation of certificate ceremony at the end of our activity, I told all of the students that they can be proud that they are connected to the global Greenheart network, made of people just like them, contributing their good time and energy to better their local communities and ultimately, the world. I think we can all be proud of ourselves for making these projects come to life through CCI!
