Unleash Your Inner Global Citizen! The first Greenheart Earth Olympics (GEO) took place on May 12, 2012. GEO is a daylong “field day” of interactive “Olympic games” and educational workshops in Chicago's Wicker Park. Brought to you by Center for Cultural Interchange and Greenheart, Wicker Park Advisory Council and Chicago Park District, all GEO events are family-friendly and focus on increasing awareness of other cultures, the environment, and ways we can change our habits for the global good. GEO is open to the entire Chicago community: adults, kids, and families!
Community yoga and meditation open the games. A cultural music performance and parade will immediately follow and lead right into a closing ceremony/after-party of food, socializing and more fun at the Greenheart Shop!
DAILY SCHEDULE
Games take place indoors and outdoors (in the event of rain, they will take place in the Wicker Park Field House gym)
