Environmental
Group Program in Washington State
CCI's Environmental Group Program brings together young
adults from around the world to learn about critical
issues affecting our environment while enjoying the
beauty and culture of the greater Seattle area in Washington.

Participants come away with improved
English skills, a deeper understanding of the impact of human beings on the environment, and the sense
of accomplishment that comes from directly contributing
to the effort to protect our precious natural world.
Accommodation with American host families allows participants to experience
American culture and life style first-hand, and the
multinational nature of the program fosters cross-cultural
friendships that can last a lifetime. Weekly
excursions to wilderness areas and national parks
provide the opportunity to enjoy the majestic beauty
of the American landscape.
What's Included? 
- ESL classes with emphasis on topics related to ecology and the environment
- Hands-on experience learning about and/or volunteering with local conservation projects
- One or more full day excursions per week
- Fun and exciting recreational activities
- Full board and accommodation with an American host family
- Medical and accident insurance
- Airport transfers
- Full support of a CCI Local Coordinator
What Are the Requirements?
- Be between the ages of 17 and 25
- Possess an intermediate level of English (two years of college study or equivalent)
- Display a genuine interest in American culture
and the environment
