Children’s Home of West Mamprusi
Project Details
After a moving encounter with two young orphans in the streets of Mamprusi, the founder of this Children’s Home was inspired to begin his project. Without many resources, he opened his own house to provide shelter for a few boys and girls off the streets. As the number of orphans grew, he built a separate accommodation area that now serves almost 40 children. The project is always searching for ways to be self-sustaining including developing a piggery to provide more food to the children, starting an educational center, and engaging in new micro-credit projects to support their financial needs.
