Community Development in Buenos Aires
Project Details
Since opening its doors, this project has served many impoverished community residents in the Mataderos neighborhood. Assisting children, teenagers and some adults, this project focuses on the importance of education and personal development. There is a day-care on site as well as a center for the youth offering homework help, theater workshops, art projects, gym and sports activities, English and German lessons, and other educational trainings. Even in tough times, this project gives the people hope, faith, and the opportunity to make a change.
Volunteer Responsibilities
Volunteers are needed to help with all the ongoing workshops, English lessons, and with homework assistance. Volunteers are also encouraged to bring their creative ideas so that with the support of other staff members can implement new workshops for the youth.
