An Art and Science Museum for Children
Project Details
At this special museum, children can play, learn about science, their bodies, the solar system, and about the world we live in. The main goal of the museum is the transmission of knowledge, values, and skills, through the use of educational and creative games. There is a great emphasis on the interaction between the children as well as their interaction with staff and volunteers.

Volunteer Responsibilities
Volunteers are needed to help lead groups of children in educational activities involving art and science projects at the museum. They are also encouraged to contribute to the development of the curriculum by adding new workshops or games. Through the volunteer’s actions, he or she is encouraging each child to love learning and explore the future through hands-on learning.
Location
The museum is located in the city of Cordoba, about 10 hours northwest of Buenos Aires. All volunteers will be taken to their host family upon arrival and given an orientation within the first few days.
Accommodations and Meals
Volunteers will stay with carefully screened host families for the duration of the program. Two meals a day with your host family are included in your stay.
**No meals are served on Sundays.
Requirements
Minimum commitment is 6 weeks. Experience or education in counseling, teaching and/or childcare is helpful, but not required. An intermediate level of Spanish is required. Spanish lessons are available prior to the volunteer project in Cordoba for an additional fee.
