Schools for Teens in Spain (14-16)
There is no better way to learn a language than to
study it in the country where it is spoken. CCI offers
excellent language school programs for juniors in 2 exciting Spanish
cities. The juniors program provides students with more guidance and supervision throughout their stay. Each program includes 20 hours of class per
week, room and full board (3 meals per day) with host families and a variety of activities and excursions to help
you make the most of your time in Spain.
Salamanca
Spaniards call Salamanca
“La Dorada,” the Golden City, because
of the golden hue cast by the centuries-old limestone
buildings. Beautiful monuments, museums and other sites are easy to visit, as everything is within walking distance.
The School
Located on the main street of Salamanca, the language school has 8 classrooms, common areas for studying or socializing during breaks, a video room, and is within a few minutes walk of Plaza Mayor. A nearby private school is also utilized for additional classrooms and sports activities. Books and materials are included.
Activities
There are 3 or more activities scheduled each week, including cultural activities, visits to local museums or monuments, sports activities, and group dinners. Excursions are also planned on Saturdays to see attractions outside Salamanca, such as the Cascadas de Candelario and Segovia. Packed lunches and meals are provided for the excursions and activities.
Valencia
Basking in sunlight for
most of the year, Valencia is known for sunshine and
sandy Mediterranean beaches. The city is also the
capital of the Valencia province and is full of Spanish
heritage. This region is the birthplace of paella,
the world famous rice dish cooked over a fire.
The School
The juniors language school is surrounded by a lively student atmosphere, and is equipped with a room for internet, music, games and meetings. Books and materials are included and students receive a certificate upon completion.
Activities
There are several activities planned each week, including cultural workshops, visits to the beaches, sports activities, and the City of Arts and Sciences. Weekend excursions and city tours are planned to see surrounding towns like Alicante and Sagunto.
Madrid (17+)
World famous museums such
as the Prado and the Reina Sofia Art Center make this
city a favorite among art lovers. Madrid is also well-known
as the birthplace of la movida, the intense, exciting
nightlife that captivates visitors and residents alike.
Madrid is recommended for participants who wish to
experience a cosmopolitan European lifestyle. Participants
must be 17 +.
