Language
School for Teens (13-17)
Why learn Spanish in Costa Rica? Not only are Costa Ricans considered by many to have one of the easiest dialects to understand, but also, the terms they use are universal throughout several Spanish speaking countries.
In the Juniors program, class size is a maximum of 8 students, and books and materials are included. On the first day, each student will be tested to determine the appropriate class level.
Location
The program takes place
in a Costa Rican high school occupying 15 acres in
San Juan de Santa Barbara de Heredia, a quiet, pleasant
town surrounded by coffee plantations just outside
of San Jose. The modern facilities include 51 classrooms,
a swimming pool, volleyball and basketball courts,
soccer field, cafeteria and computer lab.
Accommodation and Meals
Students will enjoy their stay with carefully screened host families located near the school. Our host families are warm and welcoming and are eager to share their culture and their home! Breakfast, lunch and dinner are provided, and each participant will either have their own room or share with another student.
Dates
Whether you are a beginner or have an advanced level of Spanish, classes begin every Monday starting in June and ending mid August. Each participant can choose between a 3 or 4 week program. Contact CCI if a longer or shorter stay is desired.
