High School in Brazil
Enrich your high school years by doing something truly unique - spend a semester or year in exciting Brazil! As an exchange student in Brazil, you will live with a carefully selected, volunteer host family, and you will attend a Private High School.

There is no Portuguese language requirement to participate in the program, but you must be willing to learn. Because your host family and all of your teachers will speak Portuguese, and your classes will be taught in Portuguese, this can be a very challenging experience linguistically. It is also very rewarding, because you will learn Portuguese! The program includes Portuguese language classes for two hours each week during the entire first semester of your time in Brazil, for a total of 40 hours of instruction. These classes are included in the program. By virtue of the fact that you will be completely immersed in Portuguese, you can expect to pick up the language quite quickly.

Optional Excursions
An optional trip to Rio de Janeiro and/or Iguaçu Falls will be arranged for students. The fee for participating will be approximately $200. Details of these optional excursions will be made available to students upon their arrival in Brazil.
