September 2, 2006 - Idaho Special Olympics |
"Today we were volunteering at Special Olympics - bicycle races! That was awesome!!! The weather was perfect! It was sunny and a little breeze was blowing!!! What we do was we were timing the athletes and cheering them up as they rode by!!! Some athletes took a couple of races! I was timing the athlete that rode 37 laps once and then 12,5 in another race!!! He did a very good job!!! We could communicate with other FLEX students and Nancy! :) I didn`t even expect that it would be so great!!! I was a bit tired at the end. But when you are doing something good you do not really worry about being tired, you want to do it more and more!!!"--Helen from Ukraine |
